Water Lily

Look at the water Smooth as glass
Floating lilies like flames of life
Open their petals to the sun shine sky
And the clouds high above reflect deep down below
Just as deep as the sky is high

Water lily floating into my eye – when I see it.
Water lily floating into my heart – when I feel it.
Water lily floating into my life – when I never forget it.
May your beauty play it’s part
And give me peace and gentleness.

Sweet water comes from the sky above
Rain showers down and the mountain snow
Melts into streams that trickle and flow
Into rivers through the world
To the salty ocean deep
Just as deep as the sky is high

Water lily opens up to the sun with it’s beauty
Water lily standing to touch the sky with it’s petals
Water lily floating on the sweet water line
Holding still and so silent
You rise out of mud and earth
From the seed that gave you birth
